Your First Visit

What to expect and how to prepare

  • When you visit us for the first time, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete registration forms.
  • We'll ask about your medical history and any medications you're taking - this helps us provide safe, appropriate care.
  • Your first appointment includes a thorough examination, any necessary X-rays, and a discussion of your dental health and treatment options.
  • Please bring a list of any medications you're currently taking, and let us know if you have any allergies.

Appointments

Booking, cancellations and opening hours

  • We offer appointments Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
  • You can book online 24/7 through our website, or call us during opening hours.
  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you're running late, call us to let us know.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the slot to another patient.

Medical Conditions

Important health information

  • Please inform us of any changes to your medical history or medications at each visit.
  • Some conditions can affect dental treatment, including diabetes, heart conditions, and blood disorders.
  • If you're pregnant, please let us know - some treatments may be postponed or modified.
  • We can accommodate patients with mobility issues - please let us know your needs when booking.

Nervous Patients

How we help anxious patients

  • Dental anxiety is very common and nothing to be embarrassed about. Our team is experienced in helping nervous patients.
  • Let us know if you're anxious - we can book longer appointments and take extra time to explain everything.
  • We offer techniques to help you relax, including breathing exercises and the option to listen to music.
  • You're always in control - agree a hand signal to pause treatment if you need a break.

Infection Control

Your safety is our priority

  • Your safety is our priority. We follow strict infection control protocols in line with national guidelines.
  • All instruments are sterilised between patients using hospital-grade equipment.
  • Our clinical areas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each patient.
  • All staff are trained in the latest infection control procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Accessibility

Access and mobility information

  • We can generally accommodate patients with limited mobility. There are four steps within the practice with hand rails, and a stair lift is available.
  • Unfortunately, our practice is not wheelchair accessible due to steps within the building. Please contact us to discuss your individual needs.
  • Let us know if you have any communication needs - we can provide information in different formats and allow extra time for appointments.

Dental Emergencies

If you have a dental emergency during opening hours, call us immediately. We keep emergency slots available for urgent cases.
